 “Seattle’s Gospel has a new spokes band!”

BSR not only won Supernova’s 2009 Seattle Battle of the Bands, but were also the very first Gospel Blues Band to be invited to play the Mount Baker Blues Festival 2009. They have a heart and passion for people and have played various charity events and churches, but can also command everyone’s attention at pubs, country clubs and motorcycle venues.

 Inspired by the band’s founder, Budd Gilbert, this band of “musicianaires” has embraced a vision stated many years ago when Budd was resolved to hear God again as to what He wanted him to do with his life and the talents given him. After an intense period of crying out in prayer to the Father, he received his answer in the form of a vision. In a nutshell, God told Budd that the music will be of a Blues nature with an "Olde Tyme" sound and that He wanted the band formed one person at a time.

The band is led by co- frontperson Budd Gilbert (Harmonica and vocalist), co -frontperson, Ginine Mizerski (Vocalist and percussionist), Jerry Gruenwald, (Slide and rhythm guitar), John Logan (drums), Mike Covello (Lead guitar), and Dave Watson (bass guitar)

Budd, as the founder and leader of the band, pushes the limit with his harmonica playing and wows the crowds with his unique style. 

Ginine pours her heart and soul into every performance and “sings like an angel”.

Jerry has a unique sound with his slide and rhythm guitar that is part of the base for Blue Soul Revival's unique sound.

John is a music teacher for high school and has mastered several other instruments. We call him "Professor" as he is always teaching us the ins and outs of music. John has also written some of the songs we now play.

Mike adds another dimension to BSR and the blues with his raw driving licks on lead guitar and his passion for outreach

Dave grew up with the blues and is precise and energetic on his bass.

Blue Soul Revival has captured the attention of many different age groups and genres. We are primarily an outreach band. We call ourselves a “Christian band for non-Christians”. We credit our success to God and we let out music do our speaking for us.

You will NOT be disappointed by choosing BSR for your venue. These are not the songs you remember in Sunday School.
